Gibson Vance, an attorney with Beasley Allen, has been installed as the president-elect of the Alabama State Bar.
A graduate of Troy University and Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, Vance has served as an attorney for 28 years, representing individuals who have been injured or mistreated. He began his career at a two-person law firm, handling all types of cases including criminal, civil, probate and domestic cases.
He has been active in bar activities at the local, state and national levels. He has served as president of the Montgomery County Bar Young Lawyers Division, the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, the Alabama Association for Justice, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
Vance has also served in several capacities with the Alabama State Bar and has been selected as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, is a fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America.
He currently is serving as president pro tem of the Troy University Board of Trustees.
