Epsilon Industries has begun a $15 million expansion of its Tuscaloosa facility.
The expansion, expected to create 26 jobs, will increase production capacity at the plant, which manufactures utility plant systems, according to a news release from the Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority.
“Since first opening our production facility here in Tuscaloosa back in 2023, we’ve been extremely pleased with the quality of the local workforce and the support of the local business and educational communities,” said Chris Wiederick, president of Epsilon Industries. “Looking forward, this expansion will have a tremendous impact on Epsilon’s ability to continue supporting the growing off-site construction needs of our customers.”
Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox said the expansion “is just the beginning of Epsilon Industries’ growth.”
“The work being done here translates into more police officers, more firefighters, better infrastructure and greater opportunities for our community,” he said. “I’m grateful to the Epsilon team for their commitment and all they’re helping us achieve.”
