Birmingham company with 147 employees closes

Sodexo Inc., an international food services company, has closed its Birmingham office, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce’s WARN list. The company, based in France, had 147 Birmingham employees.  – Alabama Department of Commerce

Alabama Power forms partnership with Black attorneys

Alabama Power is partnering with the Magic City Bar Association, a group of Black attorneys. Through the alliance, Alabama Power hopes to diversify its attorney pool and provide internships, continuing legal education credits and social gatherings and networking. – Alabama NewsCenter

 

Brasfield & Gorrie tops out Atlanta residential tower

Birmingham-based contractor Brasfield & Gorrie has topped out an 18-story residential tower in Atlanta. The 493,600-square-foot tower, at 760 Ralph McGill, has 359 units. – Brasfield & Gorrie
