Dr. Carmen Scholz, a professor of chemistry at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, has been named one of six 2021 POLY Fellows by the American Chemical Society.
POLY Fellows are recognized for their contributions to polymer science and the profession. Scholz has served at UAH since 1998, when she started as an assistant professor of chemistry before being promoted to associate professor in 2004 and then full professor in 2009.
During that time, she has been active with the ACS, organizing one of its longest running symposium series — the Biorelated Polymers Symposium Series.
