Contract awarded for new Mobile park
A $1.4 million contract has been awarded to J. Payne Organization to build a pocket park between Government Plaza and the Government Plaza Annex in Mobile. Construction is scheduled to begin in April and take less than a year to complete. – News 5

Historic church receives preservation grant
The 16th Street Baptist Church, the site of a bombing in Birmingham in 1963 that killed four young Black women, has been awarded a $2.5 million preservation grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.
