Alabama Corrections commissioner job changing hands
Alabama Corrections Commissioner Jeff Dunn is stepping down, and John Hamm, deputy secretary of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, will take over on Jan. 1. Dunn has been head of the troubled prison system for six years. – WVTM 13
Barry Morton, chairman emeritus of Robins & Morton, has died at age 83. He began his career at Robins Engineering after graduating from Auburn, became part-owner of the company in 1975 and president in 1992. In 1991, the construction company became known as Robins & Morton.  – Robins & Morton
Pioneering Huntsville brew pub to close
Below the Radar Brewhouse, which opened in downtown Huntsvile in August 2012, is closing its doors. The brewpub, bar and restaurant, one of the first to begin a revitalization of Huntsville’s downtown, will close sometime the last week of the year. – AL.com
