Contractor chosen for health care campus
Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie has been chosen as general contractor and construction manager for the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences Foundation in Demopolis. The 10-acre high-school campus is scheduled to open in the fall of 2027. The $62 million first phase of the campus will include an academic building, residence hall, dining facilities, rec building and 400-seat auditorium. ā Alabama Political Reporter

Birmingham-based Motion Industries Inc. has opened a conveyance shop in Calgary, Canada. The new location will serve customers across western Canada. Motion distributes maintenance, repair and operation replacement parts. ā Motion Industries
Boll & Branch coming to Alabama
The luxury bedding company Boll & Branch will open its first Alabama location at The Summit in Birmingham. The New Jersey-based chain has 11 locations in seven states. The Birmingham store is scheduled to open June 2. ā AL.com
