The city of Lincoln has approved plans for a new commercial development at the interchange of I-20 and Talladega County 207.

The Strand at Lincoln will span 18 of 34 acres initially. The plan is to attract a hotel, restaurants, a convenience center, climate-controlled storage with accommodations for watercraft and RVs and other commercial entities.

Colliers Alabama Senior Director of Retail Services Scott Holcombe said, “Our goal with The Strand at Lincoln is to create a development that not only meets the needs of local residents but also provides a quality experience for travelers passing through Lincoln. This project represents a major opportunity to bring new amenities and long-term growth to the community.”

The property is located just a little over a mile from the Honda Alabama auto plant, which employs approximately 5,000 people, ensuring a steady flow of daily traffic by the development.

“The Strand at Lincoln is exactly the type of development that showcases our city’s growth and forward-looking vision,” said Lincoln Mayor Lew Watson. “We’re proud to welcome new businesses and services that will benefit both our residents and visitors alike.”
