Robins & Morton has begun work on a downtown Birmingham office building that will be home to Hoffman Media. The property on Second Avenue North should be completed later this year. – Robins & Morton

 

Encompass collaborating on two inpatient hospitals in Florida

Birmingham-based Encompass Health Corp. and Lee Healthcare Holdings LLC are collaborating to jointly own and operate two new inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Southwest Florida. The hospitals will be in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. – Encompass Health

 

Unions rally ahead of Amazon vote

Members of the United Mine Workers of America and the AFL-CIO were among those rallying this weekend in support of unionizing the Amazon fulfillment center in Bessemer. Mail-in ballots went out earlier this month to 6,100 workers, who have until March 28 to fill them out and return them.  – AL.com
