City of Birmingham lending BSC $5 million

Financially strapped Birmingham-Southern College will receive $5 million in loans from the city of Birmingham. That means the college also has $2.5 million coming from the United Methodist Church’s North Alabama Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits, funds that were contingent upon the city’s loan.  – Bham Now

 

Brasfield & Gorrie starts work on Georgia distribution center

Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie has started construction on a distribution center for Prologis in Buford, Georgia. The 350,000-square-foot facility will include office space, 46 dock doors and more. – Brasfield & Gorrie

Daleville counselor named national counselor of the year
