Citizens Bank & Trust adds auto executive Taylor Bentley Conner to board

Taylor Bentley Conner is general manager of Howard Bentley Buick GMC in Albertville

Citizens Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the addition of Taylor Bentley Conner to its Board of Directors.

As general manager of Howard Bentley Buick GMC in Albertville, Conner brings a wealth of automotive industry experience to the bank’s board. A third-generation family businesswoman, she is an innovative automotive executive with proven success in leading dealership operations, management and marketing with a lifetime of firsthand experience.

Based in Guntersville, Citizens Bank & Trust is the deposit market share leader in Marshall County, now with 11 locations across north Alabama.

“We are excited to add Taylor to our board,” President and CEO Charlie Williams said. “With her deep North Alabama roots and strong track record as an innovative business leader, our customers will benefit from her experience as we strengthen our commitment as a growing community bank.”

After growing up exposed to the family dealership, Conner pursued a marketing career in a large metro area and brought that experience back to her home town of Albertville to continue the automotive legacy of her father and grandfather. Since taking over as general manager in 2018, she has implemented bold, modern processes to expand the dealership’s reach to customers nationwide. Along with that growth, Conner has continued the Bentley family’s distinct commitment of providing service that exceeds the customer’s expectation.

Under Conner’s leadership Howard Bentley Buick GMC has received numerous recognitions. That includes continuing an impressive streak of being named a General Motors Dealer of the Year nine years in row since 2015.

A graduate of the National Automobile Dealer Academy (NADA), Conner holds a Bachelor of Science in Management & Marketing from the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Education from Northwood University.

Williams noted that Conner’s commitment to charitable giving, volunteerism and community partnerships is a perfect fit for Citizens Bank & Trust.

“Those qualities reflect the same core values the Bank lives by as a community bank, and we appreciate having Taylor on our board to strengthen that commitment,” he said.
