Christopher White promoted at Auburn University at Montgomery

Christopher White has been promoted to vice chancellor for financial and administrative services at Auburn University at Montgomery. White had been serving as acting chief financial officer since May.

“During his time at AUM, Christopher has played a vital role in helping the university strengthen its net operating margin, revamp its contract review processes and create a solution-oriented approach to customer service across a variety of channels,” said Carl Stockton, chancellor of the university.

In his new role, White will lead a variety of financial and administrative units, including the controller’s office, financial services, student accounts, facilities, residential housing, food and retail operations, fleet operations, building services and landscape management.

White earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University and an MBA from AUM. Before joining the AUM staff in 2017, White had served as finance director for Auburn City Schools and as director of financial services for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. His industry experience includes firms such as Aflac, Alfa Insurance and Ernst & Young.
