CFD Research is proud to announce the opening of its newest expansion, an additional facility at its Joel B. Everett Engineering Test Center, in the Jackson County Industrial Park in Hollywood, Alabama.
At the heart of the expansion, which began with a groundbreaking on August 28, 2023, lies the advanced 19,000-square-foot facility that will now house more than 28 additional offices, larger conference room space, a second high-bay area, and storage areas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 28, 2024, marking a major investment in the company’s engineering, testing capabilities and continued growth.
The new facility enhances CFD Research’s ability to support technology development and increases its testing capacity. It further solidifies the company’s commitment to innovation and its leadership in delivering cutting-edge solutions for the aerospace and defense, biomedical and life sciences, intelligence and sensing, and energy and materials industries.
“This expansion represents our continued investment in the future of CFD Research,” said CFD Research Corp. President and CEO Sameer Singhal. “The additional space will allow us to advance our engineering and testing capabilities, serve our customers more effectively, and continue our growth trajectory in alignment with the goals of our employee-owners.”
CFD Research’s footprint in Jackson County now spans 74 acres, including over 31,500 square feet of high-bay, office, conference room and classified spaces. The site is equipped with multiple test stands, including a 30 foot x 30 foot stand and a 60 foot x 60 foot stand. Since opening in 2021, the center’s workforce has grown to 30 employees.
“This is a significant milestone for Jackson County and North Alabama,” said U.S. Congressman Dale Strong (AL-05). “CFD Research’s growth strengthens our region’s economy and reinforces its role as a leader in advanced technology development.”
In addition to Strong, Alabama State Senator Steve Livingston, Scottsboro Mayor Jim McCamy and Jackson County Economic Development Authority President Nathan Lee also participated in the ribbon-cutting event, alongside CFD Research employee-owners and other distinguished guests.
“This expansion highlights the impact of CFD Research on our community,” said Lee. “We are proud to support the company’s ongoing success and its commitment to innovation in Jackson County.”
