Secretary of State John Merrill has waived the $25 Certificate of Existence fee for businesses in Alabama. This proof of existence is required for PPP and other loans and forgiveness. You may go online to request a waiver for that filing fee.  – Alabama Political Reporter

C Spire expanding in Shelby County
C Spire has begun construction that will lead to offering its fiber-based Gigabit internet services in Pelham and Helena in northern Shelby County. Alabaster, also in Shelby County, will follow. Homebuilders alert to possible lumber price gouging
Lumber prices continue to rise nationally, and homebuilders are investigating complaints of price gouging. Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office said it has received one complaint of lumber price gouging in Alabama and is investigating it. Nashville-based Amerigo restaurant coming to Alabama
A Nashville-based Italian restaurant will open its first Alabama location in Huntsville later this year. Amerigo,with a bar and restaurant open for lunch and dinner, will open at the Market at Hays Farm late this year. It’s the chain’s first location outside of Tennessee. – AL.com
