Carnival Cruise Line is pulling its Ecstasy cruise ship from the Port of Mobile. Carnival says it will return to the port soon with a bigger and newer ship. The Carnival Spirit will launch out of the port for its first voyage on Oct. 22, 2023. – AL.com

 

Birmingham Y listed for $5.75 million

The downtown location of the YMCA of Greater Birmingham is for sale for $5.75 million. The building on Fourth Avenue North has been home to the Y since 1984. The Y intends to move to a building with a smaller footprint.  – Bham Now

Huntsville, Birmingham burger joint will open in Auburn, Tuscaloosa

Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint, which has locations in Huntsville and Birmingham, will move into downtown Auburn at the former location of Cheeburger Cheeburger. Jack Brown’s also plans to open next year in Tuscaloosa. – The Bham Buzz

 

Hispanic business expo in Huntsville on Saturday

Huntsville’s Big Spring Park East will be the location for a Hispanic business expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Registration is still open for local businesses. The expo is hosted by the Hispanic Business Alliance of North Alabama. – News 19
