Mobile Bay Ferry company files for bankruptcy
Hornblower Group, operators of the Mobile Bay Ferry connecting Fort Morgan and Dauphin Island, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.  Company officials say service will continue in Mobile and on a similar service in Pensacola. – WPMI-TV
Seafood chef competition opens
Alabama Gulf Seafood has opened registration for the 9th Annual Alabama Seafood Cook-Off, which will take place May 6 at the culmination of a two-day conference. The winner will win a $2,500 prize and represent Alabama in national competition in the summer. – Alabama Gulf Seafood
