Calling all interns

intern event

Birmingham’s summer interns are among the most likely candidates for the next generation of the city’s workforce, so the Birmingham Business Alliance hosts an annual event to welcome them to the city.

This year, the Magic City Summer event is slated for July 15 at Regions Field for dinner and a baseball matchup between the Birmingham Barons and the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Interns from every business in the city are invited to attend for free. Their supervisors, HR executives and recruiters are also invited to participate.

“Magic City Summer is a talent attraction program of The Alliance that showcases Birmingham’s exceptional quality of life, which is a major consideration for young professionals in deciding where to live and work after college,” the BBA says in announcing the event.

“Young professionals and local companies are thrilled to be able to gather again after the pandemic,” said Ron Kitchens, CEO of The Alliance. “There is no better way to show Birmingham’s greatest assets to potential talent, and there is no better place to do that than Regions Field in the heart of downtown Birmingham.”
