Butting USA breaks ground on $61 million facility

The Loxley location will be built in two stages

Butting USA CEO and Managing Director Adrian Rochofski addresses the crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony in Loxley.

Butting USA, a stainless-steel pipe manufacturer, has ceremonially broken ground on its first U.S. production facility in Loxley. Instead of the traditional groundbreaking, Butting representatives, local and state officials and company partners planted a live oak tree.

“Our decision to set down roots in Baldwin County speaks to our confidence in the people, infrastructure and future of this region,” said Adrian Rochofski, CEO and managing director of Butting USA. “By planting this live oak, we symbolize our commitment to growing and thriving here for generations to come.”

Butting USA officials planted a live oak tree to launch the construction of phase 1 of their manufacturing plant in Loxley.

Butting’s $61 million capital investment brings up to 100 high-quality jobs to Baldwin County. The 58-acre site will house the new facility, which will be built in two phases. Phase 1 will establish local administrative operations, engineering and fabrication of stainless-steel spools, components and cryogenic pipe systems. Phase 2 will expand to include two welded stainless-steel pipe mills and additional fabrication capabilities to serve advanced industries across North America.

“Alabama continues to prove that we are the premier destination for global manufacturers looking to grow and succeed in America. Butting’s decision to put down roots in Loxley is a tremendous win for Baldwin County and for our entire state,” said Gov. Kay Ivey.

“This ceremony represents more than a groundbreaking; it is a symbol of our intention to grow strong, lasting roots in the United States,” said Marcel Bartels, CEO Division Plant Construction Butting Group. “As a family-owned company with nearly 250 years of history, we are proud to carry our tradition of excellence and innovation to Alabama.”
