Five companies from Alabama and around the Southeast have been selected for the Summer 2021 Bronze Valley Accelerator program in Birmingham. McWane leases industrial spot in Texas
Birmingham-based McWane Inc. has leased about 67,000 square feet of industrial space in Grand Prairie, Texas. McWane manufactures iron water works and plumbing products. Grand Prairie is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.  – REBusiness Online

New vocational center coming to Fort Payne
Gov. Kay Ivey is giving a $1 million grant to Fort Payne for a new vocational center that will focus on getting people ready for careers in construction, electricians, plumbers, electric vehicles and drones. The grant came from the Appalachian Regional Commission through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. – WAFF 48

Robins & Morton opens Tampa office
Birmingham-based construction firm Robins & Morton has opened an office in Tampa, its third office in Florida. Robins & Morton said it has had $880 million of completed or in-progress work in the Tampa area in the past 10 years. That includes a major expansion of St. Joseph’s Hospital. – Business Observer
