Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded nine grants totaling $26.6 million to broadband providers across the state. The money will provide the capability to serve 15,000 additional households, businesses and public facilities.  – Alabama Political Reporter

Garden & Gun magazine has named two Alabama restaurants to its list of 25 Outstanding Restaurants Worth the Drive. The Hummingbird Way in Mobile and Chez Fonfon in Birmingham both made the list of Southern restaurants. – Garden & Gun

Peoples Bank expanding to Trussville
