Briana Bryant

Briana Bryant selected to lead new Maynard Nexsen PR subsidiary office in Alabama

Briana Bryant has been named director of the new Maynard Nexsen PR Office in Alabama, NP Strategy. Bryant, who has worked in public relations for a decade, also currently serves on the executive committee as a director at large for the Public Relations Society of America Southeast District.

NP Strategy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maynard Nexsen, provides crisis, media and public relations assistance to clients across multiple industries. It currently employs almost 30 people in four states — North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama. Bryant’s arrival marks NP Strategy’s physical expansion into the Alabama market following the merger of its parent company Maynard Nexsen earlier this year.

“Briana is an exceptional addition to our successful strategic public relations team,” said Leighton Lord, Maynard Nexsen president and chief strategy officer. “Briana’s understanding of the Alabama market and industry experience will help NP Strategy clients navigate rapidly changing communications needs.”

Prior to joining NP Strategy, Bryant led communications for Southern Research in Birmingham, and also served in a similar role at the UAB Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where she led storytelling for the university’s technology transfer office.
