Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie has been named the top general contractor in the U.S. for health care construction by Modern Healthcare.
The magazine surveys construction and design companies, and the rankings are based on 2024 volume. Brasfield & Gorrie has ranked in the top six for two decades and claimed the top spot in 2023.
“Health care was one of Brasfield & Gorrie’s earliest market sectors, and we’re honored that our clients continue to trust us to build these often life-saving projects,” said Regional Vice President and Division Manager Reed Weigle.
Brasfield & Gorrie completed health care construction projects in 2024 totaling $2.7 billion. The company built more than 5.9 million square feet of health care projects in 2024, more than double the year before.
