Birmingham-based contractor Brasfield & Gorrie has broken ground on a $65 million expansion of its headquarters in the Lakeview District.
“Birmingham has been home to this company for over 60 years, and that’s not something we take lightly,” said Brasfield & Gorrie CEO Rob Blalock. “We’re investing in this city’s future by expanding our workforce, growing our footprint and putting our resources where our roots are. We want Brasfield & Gorrie to be the place where talented people come to build something real, and we’re giving them the space, the tools and the environment to do it.”
The four-story, 88,000-square-foot building will increase office space and add conference rooms. The company expects to add a minimum of 80 new full-time positions.
The expansion is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
