Warrior Met reaches agreement with Black Warrior Riverkeeper

Warrior Met Coal has reached a legal agreement with Black Warrior Riverkeeper to fix a dam and fix leaks from Warrior Met’s 160-acre coal slurry impoundment in Tuscaloosa County. The nonprofit Black Warrior Riverkeeper had sued Warrior Met Coal in 2022. – AL.com

Flying Biscuit Café coming to Huntsville

Atlanta’s Flying Biscuit Café, which serves breakfast and lunch, will soon open a location in Huntsville. It will be the restaurant’s third in Alabama, with one in Birmingham and another in Auburn.  – Hville Blast

Jody’s restaurant, a Tuscumbia landmark for more than six decades, is closing Aug. 4. The restaurant has been serving since 1958. – News 19
