Employees of a Starbucks on 20th Street in downtown Birmingham voted overwhelmingly to unionize, becoming the first Starbucks in Alabama to do so. After certification, the employees would be represented by Workers United, Southern Regional Joint Board. – AL.com

 

Decatur shopping center sold

Point Mallard Centre, a Publix-anchored shopping center near I-65 in Decatur, has been sold. The seller and price were not disclosed. The unnamed buyer is an institutional investor.   – Shopping Center News
