Birmingham, Huntsville airports not affected by Max 9 groundings
Both the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and Huntsville International Airport, Alabama’s two largest airports, say they are not affected by the FAA’s grounding of Boeing Max 9 aircraft in the wake of the mid-air incident over Oregon. Dollar General helps expand Birmingham literacy efforts
$240,000 in literacy grants from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation will help expand literacy programs provided by the Community Care Development Network, a Birmingham-based nonprofit. The grants also went to several Alabama nonprofits, libraries and schools. – Birmingham Times
