Birmingham Fastener Acquires Steel City Bolt

Birmingham Fastener has acquired Steel City Bolt and Screw. Operations of Steel City will be consolidated into Birmingham Fastener’s production facility in Birmingham.

Both companies have a long history in Birmingham, with Steel City being founded in 1968 and Birmingham Fastener in 1980. With over 100 years of combined fastener production, the acquisition will strengthen Birmingham Fastener’s product offering and equipment depth and will allow it to add teammates to its staff.

“With this acquisition we continue to double down on domestic manufacturing and provide our customers with a domestic solution on any fastener requirement they have,” said Brad Tinney, owner of Birmingham Fastener. “This equipment will assist in our expansion into the Carolinas and continue to expand our east coast footprint.”

Birmingham Fastener manufactures and distributes fasteners for structural steel fabrication, metal building manufacturers, water works, OEM and MRO operations. Steel City’s customers included customers in the railroad, telecommunications, marina hardware, utilities, steel fabricators and construction industries.
