Publix has donated 8 million pounds of produce to Alabama food banks
Florida-based Publix supermarkets says its partnership with Feeding America has donated more than 100 million pounds of produce to food banks around the region since 2020, including more than 8 million pounds to four food banks in Alabama. The Alabama food banks are Community Food Bank of Central Alabama in Birmingham, Feeding the Gulf Coast in Theodore, Food Bank of North Alabama in Huntsville and Heart of Alabama Food Bank in Montgomery. – Bama Buzz
