Trey and Caroline McMeans are co-founders of Homepoint.

Homepoint, a Birmingham-based real estate brokerage platform, has won $75,000 from Alabama Launchpad, the top prize in its technology track.

The company, co-founded by Caroline and Trey McMeans, was selected from five finalists, which also included Huntsville’s Druid Agriculture and Tag! Fundraising; Vestavia Hills’ LUDS LLC; and Birmingham’s M&S Analytics LLC.

“Winning Alabama Launchpad is going to help propel Homepoint to meet our 2026 goals by providing working capital to kickstart our marketing strategy,” said Caroline McMeans. “This win helps validate our company and will continue to open doors for us. Our vision is to grow Homepoint into a nationwide tech-forward real estate company that helps millions of Americans achieve their homeownership dreams.”

This was Cycle 2 2025 for Alabama Launchpad, which marked the second round under its new format, which includes three industry-specific tracks (technology, consumer goods and life sciences) and $2,500 in upfront funding for each finalist.

Alabama Launchpad is a program of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, in conjunction with Innovate Alabama.
