
BioHorizons, a dental implant company and subsidiary of Henry Schein Inc., celebrated its 30th anniversary at its Birmingham headquarters.
Founded at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Office for the Advancement of Developing Industries in 1994, BioHorizons has expanded its footprint over the past three decades. Today, the company has offices in the U.S., Canada, Chile, Mexico, UK, Spain, Portugal and Italy, employing more than 700 team members. Its global distribution center is located at its Birmingham headquarters, occupying more than 125,000 square feet, and a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility is located in Southern California.

BioHorizons joined Henry Schein Inc., a provider of health care solutions to office-based dental and medical practitioners, through an initial investment in 2013, followed by a full acquisition in 2018.
