Biden rejects Nippon steel deal
President Joe Biden has rejected the nearly $15 billion proposed deal for Japan’s Nippon Steel to purchase U.S. Steel, which is based in Pennsylvania but has a plant in Fairfield. Biden had said in March he would block the acquisition. Nippon is half-owner of AM/NS Calvert in Alabama. – AL.com

DWG, Dorado purchase Montgomery property
DWG Capital Partners and Dorado Holdings have acquired Cloverdale Estates, a 106-unit apartment community in Montgomery. It’s the joint venture’s second acquisition in Montgomery, after the 96-unit Greenbriar Apartments. – ReBusiness Online
