Bethany Carroll has joined Baker Donelson as an associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. Her practice will focus on the defense of clients in high-stakes cases in state and federal court, as well as representing clients in complex tort matters with an emphasis on hospitality and franchising.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Carroll staffed a variety of civil matters at a boutique litigation firm where she researched and drafted statements of claim, discovery documents, motions and other trial documents for complex civil matters. She advised partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy, discovery and court hearings in multi-district litigation and class action cases.
She gained legal experience as a judicial extern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She drafted legal memoranda and orders for Honorable Judge William Ray II in civil and criminal matters, including cases concerning the Fourth Amendment, bankruptcy and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
