A strike by longshoremen that idled seaborne cargo shipping has ended, at least temporarily, as the International Longshoremen’s Association and the United States Maritime Alliance reached an agreement on wages. The strike affected all Gulf Coast and Atlantic ports, including Mobile. – CNN

Tate & Lyle opts for renewable energy

In partnership with Alabama Power, sucralose maker Tate & Lyle will use renewable energy credits to make its plant totally powered by renewable energy. Energy credits will come from Kansas and Oklahoma wind farms. – Food and Drink Business
