Austal USA on Monday launched its 17th Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship, which will be called the USS Augusta. The ship is the 17th of 19 Littoral Combat Ships that Austal USA is building for the U.S. Navy.   – Austal USA

 

Innovation Depot CEO leaving for family business

Innovation Depot CEO Drew Honeycutt, who announced his departure from the post last week, is joining his family’s business. He’ll leave the Depot to head Talladega Castings and Machine Co. with his father, Rick. – AL.com

Brasfield & Gorrie opens Miami office

Brasfield & Gorrie recently opened its 13th location, an office in Miami, Florida. The new office is in Coral Gables in an area called Miracle Mile. It’s the third Florida office for the Birmingham-based contractor. – Brasfield & Gorrie

 

Milo’s coming to Sylacauga, Clanton

Birmingham-based Milo’s Hamburgers is planning new locations in Sylacauga and Clanton. The Sylacauga location will open June 9, and a location in Clanton will open later this year. – AL.com
