Auburn University has unveiled its Strategic Plan 2035, a blueprint for its operation during the next decade.
The plan, Grounded & Groundbreaking, includes priorities and goals for the public university.
“As we embark on the next chapter in our institution’s history, it is crucial that we are guided by a strategic roadmap that embodies our aspirations for the future and leverages our role as a leader in higher education,” President Christopher B. Roberts said in a letter to the campus community. “Our plan is a profoundly ambitious vision that recognizes and celebrates the strengths of our institution.”
The plan includes five signature goals, 25 sub-goals, 85 action items and 84 key performance indicators. The signature goals are providing an exceptional student experience, fostering impactful research and creative scholarship, commitment to excellence and innovation, providing catalytic engagement and being distinctively Auburn.
The plan is the result of a year-long planning process that included a 27-member Strategic Planning Steering Committee, and its implementation will be university-wide.
“Achieving these goals requires every member of the Auburn Family to dream bigger, be bolder and pursue excellence,” Roberts said. “Our quest to be an engine of prosperity is backed by extraordinary institutional dedication and unlimited potential to catalyze positive change.”
