Area Development, a national group that focuses on site selection, among other topics, has ranked Alabama No. 6 on its Top States for Doing Business list. The state ranked high in several individual categories, too, including Overall Cost of Doing Business. Georgia topped the list.  – Area Development

 

CACC wants to buy church, expand

Central Alabama Community College is asking the City of Prattville and Autauga County for $4 million to help the school buy East Memorial Baptist Church. CACC would plan to serve 3,500 students at a new Prattville facility. – Montgomery Advertiser

Daniel Corp. developing new Publix in Auburn

A new Publix-anchored shopping center near Auburn University’s campus should be open in the fall of 2022. Daniel Corp. is the complex’s real estate development firm, with Nelson Architecture designing, LBYD as project engineer and Batson-Cook Construction providing construction services. – AL.com
