Apple CEO donates $100K to Alabama band

Apple CEO Tim Cook has donated $100,000 to the Robertsdale High School band. Cook, a Robertsdale graduate and trombone player in the band, donated the money for marching instruments. – News 19

 

Amazon worker says he was fired for being pro-union

A ship dock worker at Bessemer’s Amazon fulfillment center says he was fired because of his pro-union work at the facility. Ezra Hudson has filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board alleging retaliation. Amazon denies the charge.   – AL.com

 

New downtown Birmingham condos now taking leases

Development firm Orchestra Partners and residential manager Common have begun leasing the 180 residential units at Common at the Frank in downtown Birmingham. The 10-story Common at the Frank includes studio and one-bedroom apartments. – Bham Now
