Another company has interest in U.S. Steel
Ohio-based steelmaker Cleveland-Cliffs has indicated an interest in acquiring U.S. Steel if its deal with Nippon Steel falls through. Under Cleveland-Cliffs’ plan, the two companies would operate under the U.S. Steel name. Based in Pennsylvania, U.S. Steel has a plant in Fairfield, outside of Birmingham. – AL.com
The University of North Alabama marked its 195th year Monday at its annual Founders’ Day Event. UNA is Alabama’s oldest four-year public higher education institution, having been established on the LaGrange College site in Colbert County in 1830. – University of North Alabama

Three Alabama cities ranked in the top 20 of U-Haul’s 2024 Growth Index, which ranks cities based on the number of moving transactions made for those cities.
