Alabama was well represented in Orlando, Florida last month at ASIS 2016, an international expo where topics such as loss prevention, cybersecurity, financial and infrastructure security are discussed annually. This year’s headliners included U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and FBI Director James Comey.
Alabama attendees included Birmingham-based AMICO Security, there to pitch its new Vanguard Perimeter System, which can withstand Category 5 hurricane winds, as illustrated at Georgia Tech’s aerospace wind tunnel.
The Vanguard System was designed for medium and high security applications, such as border security, power grid, corrections, transportation and government installations. It’s designed with impact and crash resistance to work the latest in radar and surveillance technology.
Vanguard System incorporates proprietary engineered components to create a unified curtain wall perimeter barrier. Continuous longitudinal rails tie the entire system together creating a full-length curtainwall — while also eliminating many of the cuts, clamps and connections that are necessary when installing most traditional fence offerings.
AMICO Security has produced high security perimeter systems for more than 20 years.
