Allison Skinner, deputy general counsel to Cadence Bank, has become president-elect of the Birmingham Bar Association.
At Cadence Bank, Skinner focused on corporate governance, risk management, litigation and various corporate matters. Prior to joining Cadence, Skinner owned an alternative dispute resolution firm for almost two decades, representing domestic and international clients in complex litigation.
Skinner also serves on the board of directors for the Junior Achievement of Alabama and is an elected Alabama State Bar Board of Bar commissioner. The Birmingham Bar Association, founded in 1885, is one of the oldest bar associations in the United States with approximately 3,500 members.
