ALDOT says $2.7 billion Mobile I-10 project is viable
The Alabama Department of Transportation says it is fully on board with the I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project. ALDOT will move forward with the $2.7 billion project, using a $125 million federal grant and $250 million in dedicated state funding. – AL.com

Birmingham approves Carraway money
The Birmingham City Council approved $3.7 million for the developers of the Star at Uptown to help complete demolition of buildings on the former Carraway hospital campus. Plans for the development include a $50 million amphitheater.  – AL.com

New hotel coming to Redstone Gateway
A new hotel is under construction at the $700 million Redstone Gateway complex in Huntsville. Fairfield Inn & Suites will open its 150-room hotel by the summer of 2023.  – News 19

Hargrove restarts automation society
Mobile’s Hargrove Controls & Automation has helped restart the Emerald Coast chapter of the International Society of Automation. The chapter had disbanded for several years. The first meeting of the resurrected chapter will take place Thursday, Dec. 8. – Hargrove
