Alabama’s Pursell to expand in Georgia
Sylacauga-based Pursell will build a new plant at SeaGate Terminals in Savannah, Georgia. The new facility will produce controlled-release fertilizers for the turf, ornamental, specialty and broadacre markets. The new plant will complement Pursell’s plant in Sylacauga, increasing capacity and access to raw materials. – American Journal of Transportation 

Regions most-reliant on overdraft charges
A note from Morgan Stanley said that consumer overdraft fees accounted for 5% of Regions Bank’s 2020 revenue, making the bank the most dependent regional bank on those charges. In January, Regions CFO David Turner said that “continued enhancements to our overdraft practices and transaction postings” are likely to keep service fees below pre-pandemic levels.  – Bloomberg

Chicago law firm hires head of Birmingham office
Diandra “Fu” Debrosse Zimmermann has joined the Chicago law firm DiCello Levitt Gutzler and will be a partner and head the firm’s new Birmingham office. Zimmermann joins Eli Hare in the firm’s Birmingham office. – Galveston Daily News
