Sloss Tech, which brings tech entrepreneurs together in Birmingham, will feature Frances Haugen and Andrew Yang as keynote speakers, as well as comedian Roy Wood Jr. as conference emcee.
“We view Sloss Tech as more than just an event, it’s also an invitation; an opportunity to launch your next startup, find your next team member, or — as you can see from our dynamic keynotes — hear from some of the most consequential and impactful minds in technology today,” said Deon Gordon, president and CEO of TechBirmingham, which presents Sloss Tech. “We’re thrilled to welcome these world-class thought leaders and dynamic speakers to Birmingham.”
Sloss Tech will take place June 27-28 at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Birmingham. Tickets are available now online.
The initial keynote speakers and emcee announced this week are:
Frances Haugen, a scientist and engineer who made headlines as a Facebook whistleblower and was on “60 Minutes” last year.
Andrew Yang, a presidential candidate in 2020 and founder of Humanity Forward and Venture for America.
Roy Wood Jr., an award-winning comedian, “Daily Show” correspondent and documentary producer from Birmingham.
Sloss Tech is in its sixth year. Each of the previous years have been sold-out events.
