45% of the state’s workforce has an educational certificate or degree beyond high school, representing progress toward adding 500,000 credentialed workers to the workforce by 2025. The pandemic both hurt and helped the effort, with many losing their jobs but also many taking the time to get into programs that could lead to credentials. – Alabama Daily News 

Ivey cuts ribbon on Camden pier
Gov. Kay Ivey returned to her hometown of Camden to cut the ribbon for a new pier at Roland Cooper State Park. The $270,000 pier will allow more boaters to access the Alabama River. It is also the park’s first handicapped-accessible dock. – Alabama News Network

Main Event coming to Alabama
Texas-based Main Event is constructing a facility expected to open in Huntsville’s Bridge Street Town Centre in 2022, making it the first Alabama location for the family entertainment center featuring bowling, laser tag, food, bar and more.
