Cummings to celebrate 60th year

Huntsville’s Cummings Research Park is throwing a 60th-birthday celebrations on Saturday. The free family event will take place both from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The nighttime celebration will feature performances from local musicians. – News 19

Plans for Live Nation to leave Oak Mountain Amphitheatre and open a new venue on the old Carraway Hospital campus in Birmingham has surprised leaders in Pelham, home of Oak Mountain. Jefferson County leaders on Tuesday announced a plan to build a $50 million venue in Birmingham. – NBC 13
