Birmingham airport plans $8 million in improvements for World Games

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport has budgeted $8.3 million for improvements at the airport prior to July’s World Games 2022. Improvements planned include parking deck elevator updates, wi-fi enhancements and refreshed loading bridges and terminal seating. – Birmingham Times

North Carolina brewery coming to Alabama

Hi-Wire Brewing, of Asheville, North Carolina, will open its first Alabama location in Birmingham. It will be the anchor tenant of Lakeview Green in the city’s Lakeview District. The 24-tap bar is expected to open in late summer.  – AL.com

Synovus commits $1.76 million for philanthropy
