UAB anticipates record freshman enrollment
The University of Alabama at Birmingham says it’s on track for its largest freshman class in history. Preliminary enrollment figures, which should be finalized in October, show a nearly 25% increase in freshman enrollment for fall 2025 compared to fall 2024. – Birmingham Times
Birmingham development figure retires
Griffin Lassiter, an economic development veteran who helped land Coca-Cola United’s headquarters and the Barber Motorsports Park during his 25-year career with the city of Birmingham, has retired. Lassiter worked for Alabama Power before becoming senior project manager for Birmingham. – AL.com
