Alabama Aircraft Alliance Inc., an aerospace company based in Birmingham, can move forward with a suit against Boeing, alleging stealing trade secrets and bankrupting the company. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says a lawsuit can move forward. AAAI says Boeing used trade secrets to win an Air Force contract initially awarded to both companies. – AL.com

 

Medical Properties Trust has lost more than $800 million from one tenant

A Wall Street Journal story identifies Birmingham-based Medical Properties Trust as one of the country’s biggest owners of hospital property, but it also says the company has experienced more than $800 million in losses from 2017-2020 from its largest tenant, Dallas’ Stewart Health Care. – Becker Hospital Review
