Alabama A&M makes $52 million offer for BSC
Alabama A&M University has made a $52 million offer to purchase Birmingham-Southern College, which closes May 31. The BSC property would be operated as a standalone campus for A&M, which has a main campus in Huntsville The school says its intention would be to retain the school’s credentialed faculty and staff. BSC officials say they have no definitive agreements for the school’s purchase. – Birmingham Times
Daniel Communities will co-develop Tennessee riverbank community
Birmingham-based Daniel Communities has been selected as co-developer and club operator for a 600-acre community along the West Harpeth River in Franklin, Tennessee. The community, Wyelea, will include 200 acres placed into conservation with the Land Trust for Tennessee. – Daniel Communities
