ACIPCO plans $790 million project
The American Cast Iron Pipe Co. is seeking a jobs grant from the Jefferson County Commission in relation to a $753 million project that would create 80 jobs. The project would replace existing furnaces, create a new lining and coating facility and add new casting machines. The request is on the Commission’s agenda for today’s meeting. – Bham Now
Alabama teacher wins national award
Christian Stanley, an agriscience teacher at Goshen High School, is one of 30 teachers nationwide to win a $25,000 Milken Educator Award. Goshen is the only teacher in Alabama to win the award this year. – Bama Buzz
Huntsville retail center sells for $32 million
Chicago-based JLL Income Property Trust has acquired Westbury Square, a Huntsville retail center, for $32 million. The center comprises 115,000 square feet and is 100% leased. – PR Newswire
